The Story
Recuerdos de Tánger is not an ordinary love song. Enchantingly mysterious, it tells of two estranged lovers whispering to the moon and the sea in search for one another. Serving as a time capsule of a memory, the song is inspired by the true story of how Triana’s great-grandparents met. From her balcony in Tangier, she throws a date down at the young man to grab his attention. From there, their loves story begins as they emigrate across lands and oceans to be with one another.
